For Pet Owners
Your saved card and household contacts
A saved card makes paying quicker. A household contact lets someone else in your home use your account with their own sign-in.
The short version
- Save your card from Payment method on your phone, or Payments on the web.
- Invite a household member from Settings.
On your phone
Your saved card
- Tap the More tab, then Payment method.
- Tap Add a Credit Card, or Change payment method if you have one.
- Enter your card on the secure Stripe page.
- To take it off, tap Remove Card on File, then Remove Card.
A household contact
- Tap the More tab, then Settings, then Household Contact.
- Tap Invite Household Member.
- Enter their first name, last name and email.
- A phone number and relationship are optional.
- Tap Send Invite.
On the web
Your saved card
- Click Payments in the left menu.
- Click the Payment method card.
- Its page lets you Add a Credit Card, Change Payment Method, or Remove Card on File.
A household contact
- Click Settings in the left menu, then Household contact.
- Enter their details and click Send invitation.
What they get
- An email invitation. Once they accept, they have their own sign-in to your household.
- They can pay invoices. Checkout takes their card at payment time.
- After they join, you can switch on "Also send [their name] invoices, payment reminders, receipts and refunds".
Good to know
- Only the account holder can save or remove the card, and invite or remove household members.
- Chester never sees your full card number. Stripe stores it.
- No Payment method row? Your provider doesn't take online payments yet. You can still view invoices and pay them another way.
- The invite shows as pending until they accept. You can remove it any time.
