For Pet Owners
Request and track a booking
Booking in Chester works by request: you ask for a visit, and your provider reviews and confirms it. Once it is in, you can follow it from Pending to Confirmed and see everything coming up in one place. Here is how it works on each device.
The short version
- Open your schedule and start a new booking request.
- Pick the service, your pets, a date, and a time.
- Send the request - your provider reviews and confirms it.
On your phone
- Tap the Schedule tab.
- Tap + Book Now.
- Choose Single Appointment for a one-off, or Recurring Appointment for a repeating visit.
- Fill in the Book an Appointment sheet:
- Service - pick from what your provider offers (each shows its length).
- Pets - your pets start selected; tap to add or remove any.
- Date and time - pick a day, then tap an open time. The times you see come from your provider's working hours.
- Add-ons and notes - optional. Add-ons only appear when they apply to the service, and notes are a good spot for anything your provider should know.
- Tap Continue, look over the summary, then tap Send Request.
To track it, scroll the Schedule tab. Upcoming visits are grouped under TODAY, THIS WEEK, and LATER, each with a status like Pending or Confirmed. Tap Past appointments to see finished visits under Completed and Cancelled.
On the web
- Click Schedule in the sidebar.
- In the Book a visit panel on the right, click Request a Booking.
- In the New Booking Request form, choose One-time or Recurring, then pick your service, pets, a date, and an open time slot. Add any add-ons or notes.
- Click Send Request (or Send Recurring Request for a repeating visit).
Your visit lists sit on the left. Use the Upcoming and Past tabs to switch between them, and click any visit to open its details. On a booking's detail page you can use Add to Calendar to save it to Apple Calendar (an .ics download), Google Calendar, or Outlook.
Good to know
- Requests are reviewed, not instant. A new request starts as Pending. Once your provider accepts it, it becomes Confirmed - you do not need to do anything in between.
- Times come from your provider's hours. A day with no open times cannot be requested. Try another day, or message your provider.
- A pending request can still be changed. Edit it from your schedule instead of cancelling and starting over.
- Declined requests stay visible for a while, along with the reason your provider gave, so you are never left guessing.
- Cancelling happens from the booking itself and follows your provider's cancellation policy, so a fee may apply depending on timing.
- If you do not see a way to request a visit, your account may be set to view-only - just reach out to your provider to get set up.
