For Pet Owners

Add and manage your pets

Last updated September 2026 · v1.0

Your pet's profile is what your provider sees before every visit - the basics, their health, how they like to be handled, and their vaccinations. Add a pet in a minute, then fill in the rest whenever you have it. Everything you save travels with your pet to every booking and report card.

The short version
  1. Open My Pets and tap + Add Pet.
  2. Fill in the basics - name, species, breed, age, and a photo if you have one.
  3. Save, then open the pet to add health details, vaccinations, and more.

On your phone

  1. Tap the My Pets tab, then tap + Add Pet at the top right. From Home, you can also tap Add Pet in the My Pets row.
  2. Add a photo if you like (optional), then fill in Pet's Name, choose the Species (Dog, Cat, or Other), and pick a Breed. If you don't see it, choose Mixed Breed / Other and describe it.
  3. Add Age (years), Weight (lbs), Color, Sex, and whether they're Neutered / Spayed. You can also set Microchipped? and Crate Trained?.
  4. Tap Add Pet to save.
  5. To add more, open the pet from My Pets. Each card has an Edit at its top right - Basic Info, Veterinarian, Medical Notes, Medications, Feeding Routine, Temperament & Handling, Emergency Contact, and Access (home entry and who may collect your pet).
  6. To change the photo, tap the pet's picture at the top of their profile.
  • Vaccinations: on the pet's profile, find the vaccination your provider lists and tap Upload (or Update to replace one). Chester reads the dates off the document for you to check before saving.
  • To remove a pet, scroll to the bottom of their profile and tap Remove for that pet. Past bookings, invoices, and report cards keep their records.

On the web

  1. Go to My Pets from the menu (or use a pet chip or + Add pet on your Home), then click + Add Pet.
  2. Fill in the Identity section: Photo (optional, max 5 MB), Name, Species, Breed, Age (yrs), Weight (lbs), Color, Sex, and Neutered / Spayed.
  3. Add anything you know under Health & medical (Medical Notes, Vet Name, Clinic, Phone) and Temperament & handling, then click Add Pet.
  4. To fill in the rest, open My Pets, choose your pet, and open its edit page. Editing unlocks more: Microchipped and its number, Medications, Feeding Routine, Emergency Vet details, Off-Leash Permission, Crate Trained, Home Access Instructions, Emergency Contact, and Authorized Pickups. Click Save Changes.
  5. For shots, open the pet's edit page and click Vaccinations & Documents. On each vaccination, click Upload document, add the file, check the dates, and click Save.
  • To remove a pet, open its edit page and use the remove option at the bottom.

Good to know

  • On your phone, Pet's Name, Species, Breed, and Sex are required (they're marked *). On the web, only the Name is required - add the rest whenever it suits you.
  • Weight is entered in pounds (lbs).
  • The Grooming and Training profiles only appear if your provider offers those services.
  • A vaccination your provider requires can show on your Home screen as a checklist item until you upload a valid, in-date record.
  • Keeping the profile current helps your provider give the best care - what you save here is what they see before every visit.
