Turn tips on or off
You can let clients add a tip when they pay an invoice online. Tipping is on or off with a single toggle, and tips go 100% to you.
The short version
- Open Tipping in Settings.
- Toggle Accept tips from clients on or off.
- Save.
On your phone
- On the Settings tab, tap Tipping.
- Turn Accept tips from clients on or off. Optionally set suggested tip percentages and allow a custom amount.
- Tap Save Changes.
On the web
- In the left sidebar, open Settings, then Tipping.
- Toggle Accept tips from clients, set your suggested percentages, and click Save Changes.
Good to know
- Tips are 100% yours. Chester never takes a cut of a tip, and the 5% service fee applies only to your service total, never the tip.
- Tipping appears when clients pay online, so it needs online payments (Stripe) set up.
