Connect Stripe to get paid
To take card payments from clients, connect your Stripe account. It's a quick setup, and once it's done clients can pay you online.
The short version
- Open Payments in Settings, or tap the "Connect Stripe" banner.
- Follow Stripe's setup to add your details and bank.
- You're ready to accept online payments.
On your phone
- On the Billing tab, tap the Connect Stripe to Accept Payments banner - or go to Settings, then Payment Settings, then Connect Stripe.
- Chester hands you to Stripe to enter your business and bank details.
- When you're done, your payout account shows as Connected.
On the web
- On the Financials page, click Connect Stripe in the banner - or go to Settings, then Payments.
- Choose where your business is based (this sets your payout currency and can't be changed later), then click Connect Stripe and finish Stripe's setup.
Good to know
- Your country sets your payout currency, and it's permanent - Chester asks for it before connecting.
- A 5% Chester service fee applies at checkout, and by default the client covers it, so you keep 100% of your rate. See Understand the Chester service fee.
- Online payments are part of the Pro plan.
