Set cancellation policies

Last updated September 2026 · v1.0

A cancellation policy sets a free-cancel window and the fees for late cancellations and no-shows. Set one default for everything, and (on the web) fine-tune it per service.

The short version
  1. Open your cancellation policy in Settings.
  2. Set your free-cancel window, late fee, and no-show fee.
  3. Save. It applies to new bookings from then on.

On your phone

  1. On the Settings tab, tap Cancellation Policy, then Edit Policy.
  2. Set:
    • Policy active - turn fees on or off.
    • Free cancellation window - how far ahead a client can cancel free (2 to 72 hours).
    • Late cancellation fee and No-show fee - the charges after the free window.
  3. Save.

Your phone edits the default policy. If you've set different rules for specific services, you'll see them listed here, but you change those on the web.

On the web

  1. In the left sidebar, open Settings, then Cancellation Policy.
  2. Set your default policy - free-cancel window (12, 24, 48 hours, or a custom number up to 240), late cancellation fee, no-show fee, and the Policy active toggle. A live preview shows the three windows.
  3. To set different rules for one service, pick it from the dropdown and click Add policy, then set that service's window and fees.

Good to know

  • Changes only apply to new bookings. Each booking keeps the policy that was active when it was made, so editing your policy never changes existing bookings.
  • Per-service rules are web-only. You can view them on your phone, but add or change them on the website.
